La experiencia de Spiderman como heavy fue breve
Loyalty to the end.
Someone just solved the economy.
So wait what’s the economic equivalent of the blue shell?
just kill a super rich person every once in a while and distribute their wealth among the less wealthy
We’ve really opened the social mechanics of mario kart and I think that is perfect
Yeah I mean it’s totally legal and in a good mind set to want to kill rich people I mean I see nothing wrong with that or anything.
What if we eat them and use every part of the body?
all of you are reminding me of “A Modest Proposal” a little too much.
…Can we talk about the tremendous irony that poor people joking about how eating the rich (killing the rich, redistributing the vast stores of wealth monopolized by the rich which by being stagnantly amassed by the rich is not circulating in the greater economy and benefiting the greater good) uncomfortably reminds you of an 18th-century piece of satire that suggested that if the rich (British) were gonna fleece the fuck out of the (Irish) poor so hard that they fucking died of assorted privations left and right, they might as well just cut to the chase and consume their infants in a gluttonous cannibalistic frenzy already?
You are reminded uncomfortably of something by the direct reversal of proposed roles in a joke.
Jonathan Swift posed that the poor Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling their infants as food to the rich.
As a deliberately shocking, over-the-top, statement to display just how fucking horrible the rich were being to the poor at time time.
Meanwhile, current republicans and conservatives have been saying in COMPLETE AND TOTAL SERIOUSNESS that children should have to work to be fed, and that little children being denied food is a teachable moment. This is not satire. They are serious.
They literally don’t give a fuck if poor children starve to death in the streets.
And here we are joking that we, the poor people, should just eat the rich (since they’re going to deny us food and other resources and horde everything for themselves) and distribute their stuff in our communities.
And the latter reminds you of the former.
Stop and let that sink in.
My psychology book tries so hard to be hip.
I noticed this in the margins in the chapter on sleep.
Rock on Psychology, 10th Edition, rock on.
His name was King, He had a horse Along the countryside, I saw him ride He had a gun
I knew him well And when he shot Oh that man, he never missed.
